The
Board hopes all RCHCA residents are finding hope and inspiration in the
country’s unification from the tragedies of September 11.
Our community has rallied to support the relief efforts.

On
Sunday, September 9, 2001 RCHCA, along with Gary Ditto, sponsored the second
annual RCHCA Concert in the Park. Many
of you attended the concert and enjoyed the music of Kensington Station.
We are grateful to Betsy Greaney for organizing a successful event.

Our
8th Annual Halloween Parade and Picnic will take place Sunday,
October 28, 2001. Please plan on
attending. The parade begins at
12:30 p.m. and will form at the Rock Creek Hills Park.
Planning is just starting for this exciting and fun-filled event! Please
contact Betsy Greaney, or of any of the committee chairs listed in the article

Please
plan on attending our fall meeting on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 from 7:30
p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We will

Please plan on bringing the whole family to this traditional Rock Creek Hills event on Sunday, October 28, 2001 from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., complete with costume parade, arts and crafts, hayrides, fire rescue vehicles, moon bounce and more.
· RCHCA will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and paper goods

A-L families bring a side dish; M-Z families bring dessert
· Meet at Rock Creek Hills Park at 12:30 p.m. for the parade
· Parade through Nursing Home grounds, out to Littledale, up to Old Spring ending at Saul Road
· Pot-luck supper on Saul Road between Old Spring and E. Bexhill
· Volunteers are needed to help grill, man the arts & crafts and concessions tables, setup and clean-up

We need someone who can coordinate getting ice on the day of the event, as well as 6 bails of hay to close of the block.
The
Rock Creeks Hills Citizens’ Association Covenant Committee reminds all
residents that we are here to
protect and enhance the beauty of our neighborhood and to promote communication
among neighbors. If you are going
to make changes to your home or property, please submit plans (including the
plat showing existing and new construction) to the committee for review as well
as to your neighbors. We follow the
county’s model of receiving input from your neighbors prior to Rock Creek
Hills Covenants Inc. approval.
We
would like to remind you when contacting either your neighbors or the committee
to be as courteous and respectful as possible.
The covenants committee requires a two-week minimum on approvals.
Any submissions for approval should be made to Mark Schweizer, 3103 Kent
Street, Kensington, Maryland 20895. The
following households have recently submitted and have been
approved:
